We want this site to work for everyone using it.
Intentric targets WCAG 2.0 Level AA conformance for this website. This page describes the remediation work we've actually completed, what we know is still incomplete, and how to tell us when something doesn't work for you.
A real remediation pass, not a restatement of intent.
This site — every page's HTML, the shared stylesheet, and the shared script — went through a WCAG 2.0 AA remediation pass. These are the concrete changes that came out of it:
- Every page now has a skip-to-main-content link as the first focusable element, so keyboard users can bypass the repeated header navigation (WCAG 2.4.1).
- Every text/background color pairing on the site was run through the WCAG contrast formula. That pass found one confirmed failure — the footer copyright line — which was corrected to a contrast ratio of 4.64:1. Form field placeholder text, which previously had no explicit color and relied on browser defaults, was given an explicit, contrast-checked color.
- The mobile navigation menu button carries
aria-label,aria-expanded, andaria-controls, and JavaScript keepsaria-expandedin sync with the menu's actual open/closed state as it's toggled. - The code-sample tabs on the Docs page use the ARIA tabs pattern properly: a
role="tablist"container, role="tab"buttons, role="tabpanel"content, andaria-selectedkept current as the active tab changes. - Heading hierarchy across the site was audited and corrected so no page skips a heading level.
- Form fields use properly associated
<label for>elements rather than placeholder text or nearby copy standing in for a label. - Focus is visibly indicated on links, buttons, and form fields with a reinforced outline, rather than relying solely on the browser's default focus ring.
Honest about where this stands today.
This was a good-faith internal remediation effort against WCAG 2.0 Level AA, carried out by the team building the site. It is not a certified VPAT (Voluntary Product Accessibility Template), and it has not been reviewed by a third-party accessibility auditor.
- The pass above covered the pages and components that existed at the time it was done. New pages or components added afterward may not have had the same review applied yet.
- Automated and manual checks reduce the chance of barriers, but they don't guarantee zero issues remain — a fix in one place can also introduce a regression elsewhere.
- This statement reflects a point-in-time effort, not a standing certification or an ongoing audit schedule.
